What is the minimum and maximum duration of car rental?

Hiring of cars is calculated per 24 hours, each more delay is charged an additional day.

What kind of cars can I rent?

City Car Rental offers you a choice of a wide range of modern cars in each class. Available are vehicles with mechanical or automatic gearbox, gasoline and multi-seat with up to 9 seats. Check out some of our cars on our fleet list.

What documents are required for a car rental?

During pickup driver must hold an ID card or passport, a European driving license issued at least 12 months before and a credit card on his/her name VISA, Master Card, American Express for guarantee.

Where else can I get the car, outside City Car Rental offices?

We can deliver/collect a car on specific locations except our offices or airports like hotels, ports, railway stations etc. This service has an extra cost.

Who can rent a car from City Car Rental?

Everyone from 23 to 70 years old, with a driving license issued at least 12 months before rental start.

How can I pay for my booking?

To book, follow the steps on the City Car Rental website. At each step you need to fill in the personal information about the reservation. Please fill in your exact details. At City Car Rental you have the option to pay by the following methods (Paypal, Credit Card, Bank Deposit, upon pickup).

What hours can I collect or return a rental vehicle?

All our offices are open from 8:00 to 20:00. You can collect or return a vehicle beyond our operating hours with an extra charge of €20.

Can I travel outside Greece?

No, our cars are not allowed to be driven outside the Greek borders.

Can I book a car with a baby seat?

Child seats are required in Greece and are freely available from us. If you need one or more should you order them in detention. For security reasons you truss the child safety seats . If you bring too soiled or damaged you must pay them.

Can I drive off road?

All our rental cars are allowed to be driven on paved roads. Damages that may be caused from off road driving (wheels, tires, underbody) are not covered by the insurance.

How can I cancel or change my reservation?

If you have made a reservation directly through www.citycars.gr and wish to be canceled or modified, you can do so with your personal booking code that you received during your reservation on this page (Change / Cancel Reservation).

To cancel a confirmed booking, please e-mail us or call us at +30 2310202029. The Reservation Department will examine the cancellation request within 3 days and will inform you via email about the refund you have paid for the confirmed your reservation.

What is the cancellation policy?

To cancel a confirmed reservation please send us e-mail or call us +30 2310202029. The reservations department will consider the request for cancellation within 3 days and will inform you via your e-mail, for the refund of money you paid for your confirmed reservation.

According to the cancellation policy, entitled:

100% refund of money that you pay in advance as long as the cancellation is made 21 days prior to arrival,

50% return as long as the cancellation is made 15 to 21 days prior to arrival,

30% return as long as the cancellation is made 7-14 days prior to arrival,

There is no refund if cancellation is made less than 7 days prior to the receipt or non show.

Is there kilometer restriction?

(In most cases, no. There is kilometer restrictions only for:

  • 3 days of rental (all car groups)

The limitation is 150km/day.

Why is a credit card necessary for a car rental?

The renter must hold a credit card on his/her name (VISA, Master Card, American Express) for guarantee, even if the payment will be in cash. By signing the rental agreement, the responsibility amount (depending on the car group) will be pre-authorized from the credit card account. At the end of the rental period, if the car is returned without damage, the amount will be released in full.

What is not included in my booking?

The basic and the full insurance coverage (CDW and FDW) do not include:

– damages on wheels and tires

– broken windows (windscreen and side windows)

– damages on the under part of the car

– damages on mechanical parts caused by bas usage

– refueling errors

– loss or damage of car key

– loss of spare tire and relative tools

– loss of fire extinguisher

– loss or damage of boot cover

– damages in the interior

– special cleaning in case the vehicle is returned extremely dirty inside

– administrative expenses in case of an accident

Car Rental Booking

Fill in the reservation form. Enter your personal information. The required information is the type of car you want to rent, the driver’s age, your mobile phone number, and the exact time of arrival and departure in order for us to define the cost of the car rental.
City Car Rental will send a response to your email within the following two hours. If you accept the offer, you will receive a confirmation of your car rental booking. Please pay much attention to the fact that only when you receive a confirmation email for your car rental booking, your reservation will be valid.

If you want to rent a car from the airport and return it to another place, please mention it in your comments as well.

Delivery and Collection Policy

One of our employees will be at the arranged meeting point at the time of delivery and collection of the car. After the completion of the rental agreement, you will be charged with no further hidden charges. All our vehicles are technically tested and their condition is excellent. Please ask our staff member to note down carefully in the rental agreement every potential damage or mark your car may have from previous rentals. Someone from our personnel will be there to deliver you the rented car.
